You have to remember, though, this internet thing is really not very old. I joined Mindspring less than five years ago when one night a guy from MSPG showed up at a PC users group( on Visual Basic, as I recall) and showed his wares. He hooked people up for free on the spot. They certainly did not have millions of subscribers then and had not gone public yet. In fact, I suspect their viability was still very much in question. So, even after a couple of splits, they have only 44 million shares. Bob
