Shareholders should DEMAND a Dividend!

I don't trust ALSC's management to use
their investment profits wisely with
their supposed plans to acquire other
semi startup companies. We should be
given the chance to vote for a regular
Dividend equal to half their investment
profits as they liquidate their holdings.

Sanjeev,

<I will probably buy some more at these levels. I don't like the management, however, I keep getting attracted by the valuation. They should strongly consider selling all or part of their BRCM stake and institute a substantial share buyback program. At the current valuation the best investment for the company is to buy back their own shares.>

I share identical thoughts on management, valuation, buy backs, and I do not believe there is much of upside left in Broadcomm - at least not in the near term. Retiring some of the stock from BRCM sales here will be a great deal. I wonder if the management has discussed any stock buy-back possibilities in the analyst meeting yesterday.

I am amazed that the management is talking about investing in startups when there is so much that can be done closer to home - there is an easy 200-200% that can be made just by cleaning up the internal act in the next few quarters.

I increased my holdings significantly at under $8 today. There got to be some smart CEO out there that recognizes the value of ALSC and buys it out.
