<<<*Why* didn't they have an inkling that the PMA was an
ambush??? >>>

That's a good question. And also, what will their data regarding fading show, when the degree of snrs fading is compared to that of visx, for example? The company must have some idea about this.

If they have clinical data about fading, why wasn't it included in the presentation to the board?

P.S.

I wear glasses for reading. Ever so often, they 'fade,' too, and I have to get a new rx. Glasses are cheaper than the snrs procedure, but in principle, it's the same, though it may cut down drastically the number of people interested in getting the snrs procedure.

Can the co make this stick?

Of course the time to make these points was during the panel meeting, where I know of at least one example where panel members were 'educated' on how to interpret data.

The FDA meeting just as the panel meeting is a toss-up. I would think that this panel meeting put all the cards on the table for SNRS. Which if you have to look at a glimmer of possibility this is it.

Second, the number of 'experts' and the FDA meeting will likely be fewer, and the time to prepare with knowledge of what to focus on longer. Also being able to work with the FDA is a big help.

I'm not suggesting that the condition is not grave, but that the show isn't over yet.

After talking to a few folks who have been around awhile, they seemed to agree that politics does play a role, and you don't want to tick off the FDA, they can play hardball.

P.S. I will go on record as saying I don't have I high opinion of Sturza. When he's right it's sometimes for the wrong reasons.
