"She" is white, with tan leather seats, and a moonroof, and a killer sound system. I spent weeks poring over specs from manufacturers, trying to decide what was the best SUV on the market, at least for the price, and I wanted, above all, a stick shift. Rover quit making sticks in 1996, so I wanted a 1996, although I could have afforded new, the stick was the deciding factor. I almost got a Ford Explorer, but the Rover was more nimble, and the fact that BMW was making Rovers was a deciding factor. I wanted the dealer's warranty, so I had to buy a certified used one from a dealer. And I wanted either white or seafoam green, and a moonroof. There were only about 400 seafoam green 96's with stick and moonroof imported into the US (or maybe 200?) and the odds were against me finding one at a dealership, and after calling all over the eastern half of the U.S. I gave up, and got a white, which entailed driving to North Carolina, because there were none any closer.

I guess you could call me picky.;^)

Lather, you poor baby! I saw what happened to SNRS today!

Hope you did not have too much invested in it.

I, too, have been caught with my pants down (metaphorically speaking). There was Oxford Health (down, I think, 60% in one day); SCI Systems (down 50% in one day -- since recuperated), etc. But a 75% drop is beyond even my miserable experience! :-(

Taking advantage of the opportunity to commiserate with you here, rather than on the "other" thread, which is currently running in bile and blood...
