Rande--This seems to be what held SGI down...

In an interview, Chief Financial Officer Steve Gomo said Thursday that the workstations, which were launched earlier this year as the cornerstone of the company's turnaround efforts, showed disappointing sales during the fourth quarter, and are not expected to improve significantly in the near term.

''It's no secret we got off to a stumbling start and even though the production problems have been fixed, we are still suffering from softer demand and distribution reach than we would like,'' Gomo said.

He said NT workstation sales were roughly $50 million in the fourth fiscal quarter, ended June 30, the first full quarter of sales following the product launch. While this figure shows a significant increase from the third quarter, when the launch was stalled by production delays and distribution problems, it was still not sufficient to meet targets for the year."
