OK, then. Let me add another request for reversal (just in case there's a count). Since the navigation link were moved to the right, it seems like reversing (as you did originally) the view/remove links would be far more convenient.

And another contrary request: Any way we can get rid of that ugly "Clear message counts" blob at the top of the SubjectMarks? I know folks have asked to have the thing up there, but if it has to be there, a simple text link seems adequate. (I'd prefer to be able to move it out of the way entirely as in the original, but if that's not going to happen, I'd rather not have the gold-bar blob.)

And one more: About the gold links. Although I still think it looks nice and I can see them adequately in the daytime (even on a gray day like today), I noticed last night that they become nearly invisible even on my monitor under artificial light. That became a problem when I was looking for a message I'd already read in the gold-colored subject list. I've set "show hover color" on IE so I can turn them black by passing the mouse over them, but is it worth it?

Ahhh, but Bryan, don't you see the difference? Classic SI has under a post:

| Previous | Next | Respond | View reply to this message

View SubjectMarks Bookmark this Subject

All on the LEFT. BUT, beta SI appears as:

                                              View Replies (1) | View Next 10 Messages | Respond | Previous | Next
View SubjectMarks Remove SubjectMark

All on the RIGHT. Under Classic, if you bookmarked a subject that was already bookmarked,
no harm done. Under beta, you changed "Bookmark" to "Remove" and stuck it under the
most used "buttons" (such as "Next"). A person can quite easily remove a bookmark and never
know it, simply because of your change to "Remove" and placing it to the right.

o~~~ O

Another suggestion...

Hi Bryan! I'm very pleased with the new SI. You tweak well.

One more suggestion: under PeopleMarks, when I scroll down the list of the person's old posts, I find it more cumbersome than in the old SI.
How about a compression: Line 1: start with the date and time, followed by the subject area. Line 2 (immediately below) the 'first line' of the post.
I think it might be more congenial to the eye that way, and you will be able to get much more info with less scrolling.

Best wishes,
Tom
