Hi Searle. I'm afraid to look at my "hypothetical portfolio" although Quicken calculates it for me every day.

I am still watching Selby's 1996 prediction of $250 based on the idea that $250 was the estimated cost of production in 1996. The idea is that gold has been falling like any other out of favor commodity and it will fall to approximately the cost of production and then tend to level off. Recently he updated that view to about $200 based on current estimated average cost of production. He has just posted that he is leaving Kitco for the remainder of the year.
