Zapex Restructures Strategy - 7/23/99

Zapex Technologies, has recently formed a team of technology and marketing professionals who are developing a customer-centric strategy for the company.

This year Zapex introduced two products for the DVD market; the ZP-100 audio encoders, the industry's first Dolby-certified single PCI board solution, and the ZP-200/300 video/audio encoders for simultaneous encoding for MPEG-2 video and Dolby Digital/PCM audio.

Leading the charge is Gary Marsh, who came on board in May as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Marsh heads up a team that includes; Brian Bell, Sales Director; Taka Urano, Marketing Manager; Gracey Wood, Product Marketing Manager; and Dennis Gutridge, Technical Support Manager.

"Zapex has had a long history of developing great technology, and the introductions earlier this year of the ZP-100 audio encoders and ZP-200/300 audio and video encoders, key components in several DVD authoring systems, demonstrate that Zapex has moved from an R&D-only environment to a full-fledged product development company," said Marsh.
