Just want to take up a post to welcome all that have joined this thread, either actively or as lurkers.

May I remind everyone to read the simple rules before posting.

It is our intent to keep this thread as informative as possible with minimal chatter. I have received a fair amount of private messages and have been called a few names not suitable for printing. However, I am committed to maintaining this level of vigilance for as long as possible.

Valueman, I called Sprint PCS in SF Bay Area to ask about the wireless data program for business. (If you recall, this neck of the woods had their short messaging service so you could send a mini - message off the web to your cell phone. Cute but kind of gee whiz in nature.)
The Sprint rep said "Huh"? When pressed, a second guy said he THOUGHT September launch, but didn't sound like you'd want to bet the rent money on it.
My conclusion is that the Sprint folks don't have their front line troops wired in yet, and that we're still some time away. Damn it.
