Tim, I concur with you. The management is totally inept and is confused. Though Eric had a vision when he joined 3COM. However, of late, his vision is confusing him rather than lead him to a path of eternal growth in high-margin business. Look at his recent flap of entering SAN segment with great fanfare and then dropping out within a few months. He runs away from competing in high margin core networks and happily surroundered to CSCO. I don't see palm (which is a consumer device and will have tremendous pressure from MSFT) and the rest of business mix in a single company as a viable alternative to the wrongly labeled #2 networking company. It is better to do position trade on this company rather than invest the wait for Eric and his incompetent board to decide on a decisive course of action. Yes, yet another bottom is hear. -Nat
