sandshark, my apologies, I should have done so in the first post. The first was SOLV in May of 1997. John Rendall was sold out by Merrill. They just filed the 144 for him, at least that was his claim in the PR. I'll never forget that because it was just after I shorted SOLV. The other was Par Chadha of FIBR, that was later in the same year. It was September or October if I recall correctly. Mr. Chadha was the one who subsequently was able to come up with $1 million to purchase stock in a private transaction in July '98. The stock did languish for a few months afterward. But late 1998 wasn't kind to very many stocks. Also, I can't recall if he purchased before or after the 1:3 reverse split. I'm inclined to think it was before, which would have made his purchases at around 11ish. The stock was as high as 28 before dropping to 5 on the news of one of FIBR's periodic scandals.
