New thread for QDSS:
Subject 29630
Just to keep the tape and disk discussions separate, even though all of us so far have stock in both. But they really are distinct markets. We can either keep the disk talk here, or start another thread if people want that.

RE: when issued
When a stock split occurs, or, in this case, when a new class of stock is issued, you can buy the stock in advance of when it actually is issued. You buy it on Monday, you won't have to actually pay for it until it becomes a reality. I'm not sure if that will be in 3 days (the usual amount of time for a trade to be effective), or perhaps longer. Michael Brown may have said something about in the CC and I missed it, or perhaps it was determined at the meeting and the press release just didn't say.
