Randy, Thanks for the perspective. With the tables of relative market caps, you are presenting an awesome look at what's going on. Out of curiosity, I calculated your table using the fully diluted shares outstanding as reported by Yahoo and AOL in their most recent earnings reports. The good thing is, the relative ratios of Yahoo and AOL came out about the same as yours. The fully diluted shares I'm using are 29% higher for Yahoo and 19% higher for AOL relative to the outstanding shares used for market cap calculation purposes in your table on July 23. YHOO/AOL Feb. 09: 37.1B/95.8B = 0.39 Feb. 16: 35.2B/103.3B = 0.34 Mar. 02: 40.5B/112.3B = 0.36 Mar. 26: 45.2B/161.9B = 0.28 Apr. 07: 55.0B/206.6B = 0.27 May 11: 45.9B/180.8B = 0.25 May 24: 36.4B/154.8B = 0.24 Jun. 14: 31.5B/117.1B = 0.27 July 23: 38.4B/139.2B = 0.28 Fully Diluted Shares used in calculating market caps for each time period: Yahoo: 263,800,000 (BroadCast.com acquisition not included) AOL: 1,295,000,000
