Suggestions for equipping the lab:
chroma.mbt.washington.edu
Array technologies used:
Molecular Dynamics Generation II Array Printer.
Genetix Q-bot colony picker and arrayer.
The ARD (Vicki), a 384-pin hand-held arrayer.
Hamilton MicroLab Arrayer.
Ink-jet oligonucleotide arrays
We are currently evaluating methods used by the Pat Brown Lab at Stanford and Synteni®. The DNA chips made by Affymetrix® are another alternative.

Here was the post for one of my companies...

'The technologies currently established in
the Genomics Center include custom cDNA-based
gene chip arrays (Molecular Dynamics), commercial
high-density chip arrays (Affymetrix), cDNA library
construction, high-throughput EST sequencing, high-
throughput FL cloning and sequencing, integrated
automation systems, genetic sreen methodologies for
gene discovery, mouse gene targeting technologies,
and bioinformatics tools for analysis of DNA
sequencing and gene chip data.'

Many labs with different priorities, many permutations--
this exercise is okay for familiarizing with the names
out there...count the number of times Affy comes up.
Note when new names start popping up, etc.
