Industrial testing, such as at a meat packing facility testing for e-coli, could be a very profitable business and the AFFX chip might not be the platform of choice.

IGEN is the obvious leader in this area. Their immediate future is clouded by their present squabble with Roche, but I think they are likely a long term winner in testing of all sorts. (And high-throughput screening in particular). It's a razor/razorblade business (with reagents being the razorblades), which makes it a bit tricky to analyze in the early stages.
