Elmer, That is true. AMD will hang on by the teeth as Intel kicks them.
When two competitors have equal shares a price war hits them equally hard and it becomes a straight pissing contest.
Here we have a company large enough to price their products that face the Athlon at $50 forever...and they might just do that. AMD will of course keep the prices of their higher speed products way up there...products Intel has no match for.
Have Intel and AMD traded places? with Intels CPUs now the cheaper?
