The purpose of the NRA is to stand between the people of the USA and the tyrants who want to disarm them. My handgun serves a variety of purposes. You can question that, but I will not permit you to tell me those purposes are not sound or good. You have the right to not own a gun. But don't mess with my right to own - and use - and carry one. The law already requires me to be on my good behavior with my guns - shouldn't that be enough for those who don't like violence? I deplore violence - with or without guns. Littleton made me heartsick. The bottom line of a gun grab is not to reduce violence. Never was. It is to remove opposition to tyranny. But hey, jmo.
