Hi Don,

Like most on this thread, I too, am puzzled by the huge downdraft for this stock. My timing to buy could not have been worse. Who knew that a great quarter would be punished so severely? That Mr. Marker, he sure is a kidder, isn't he?

Regarding Office 2000: I have just installed it on my puter and I love it. Spec: AMD K-6 P2 450Mhz, Asus 100Mhz Mobo, 128Mb RAM, 40x CD, WINNT OS, installed onto a 2 gig partition. I upgraded from Office 4.2 and had no difficulty whatsoever with the install. All personal files were retained correctly. What is absolutely superior about Office 2000 is a help feature that actually helps! What a concept! I find that maneuvering through the files is a breeze, the macros in Excel are robust and useful, the annoying grammar checker is still present but less obtrusive than in the Office 97 suite. I love the idea that I will easily be able to convert Word and Excel files into HTML format and hang them on the Web.

In short, I haven't got a single significant complaint regarding this app package. And this from a guy who put Linux on the other 6 Gig partition on the HD. I expected to be migrating to Linux (RHAT distriubution) by now, but the quality of the M$ package vis a vis the RHAT stuff is too compelling at the present time. Note, I am a "power" user, rather than a sysop, so YMMV.

HTH, Ray
