Here are a few of the questions that come to mind. I wonder if Pugs will feel disposed to answer any or all of them: --Initially Pugs speaks of a "letter", which I assumed had been sent to Mike Sylver. Later he explains that faxes were dispatched to Qualey, Landish, and Cook. Are we talking about two separate incidents, or only one? --When were the faxes, supposedly "signed" by me, sent? --Was the "signature" an actual or typed signature? If the former, the author of the fax should be advised that my signature is, let's say, distinctive. --Was there any header on the fax? If so, what did it say? Any record of the phone number from which it was sent? --Why did "David" of Landish's office give a copy of the fax to Pugs? If, as is claimed, the FBI is really investigating the matter, would they want the letter's contents to be broadcast? Well, too late now. Now, just for fun, let's examine another aspect of the puzzle. What can be deduced about the author of the Sinister Fax? --He's someone who reads the threads, or he wouldn't know that I call Mike Sylver "Mikey". (Even though he misspells it as "Micky".) --Either he's a very poor speller, misspelled things deliberately, or was high as a kite when he wrote the thing. --Is evidently aware of all the "boom boom bang bang not nice!" jokes, which were from last fall. So he's been quite familiar with the issues, and with the threads, for a long time. --Is clearly attempting to implicate me in a serious crime. Who's tried to do that several times before? Any ideas, folks? lololol, of course! And Pugs: since you've let the cat out of the bag, why not post the entire fax. Might help us figure out who wrote it, snicker. But I bet you'll refuse, right?
