What the hell is wrong with you people?

I've been reading posts on this thread for quite awhile and never have seen such immature posturing as has recently been displayed on this topic of technical analysis.

Why do those of you who do not use TA have to go out of your way to criticize those who post their opinions based on TA?

If you believe it is "worthless", why don't you keep that opinion to yourself instead of insulting the investment methods of other thread members?

And for those of you who are fundamentalists, since when has that method been able to tell you what earnings will be and how people will react to them? For example, your recent predictions, Voltaire, have ranged from being a little off to way off.

Once I find a company I like (usually based on GG theory and company fundamentals) I use TA to find a good entry point. Granted, I'm not very good at it, but its worked well for me.

TA is not just for traders either. I am a long term investor, but that does not mean that we hold our stocks forever. I recently sold several long positions to increase my holdings in Q and used TA to time the buys and sells involved with that transaction.

Those of you who have recently posted on the "worthlessness" of TA ought to grow up and return to a mature discussion of Q rather than bashing something you don't understand.

Sorry for the long post, but I was fed up by some of the recent pretentious and pompous messages by people I used to respect.
