Just saw the movie, "Inspector Gadget" last night. LOVED it.

Near the beginning, the first chase scene has Gadget in pursuit of the evil scientist. <g> Gadget crashes into this enormous billboard with Yahoo's slogan on it. Someone says, "Do you Yahoo?" (or something like that ;) and the whole audience laughed. There is also a huge "GO.com Network" plug in the movie.

Maybe Go2Net needs to put out some advertising bucks and get that shark on a billboard of an upcoming release?! IOW, seems as though Go2Net needs to make some 'strategic alliances' of their own to get some name recognition via TV, cable (Charter <g>), big screen? Is there currently a Go2Net media campaign besides 'the magazines' <g> right now? Plug Playsite to the kiddies... what about the Discovery Channel for example? Nickelodean Studios? Cartoon Network? I can't speak to the specifics but I did want to throw out the general idea to perhaps focus less on these analysts and more on page views and growing market share.

Yahoo has Yahooligans. What about targeting the younger population through a PlaySite blitz? I believe I recall hearing that there are big enhancements coming to that site shortly.

Let Asymetrix devise some tutorials geared to teach kids about the web (via the Go2Net network of course) while college business students can be introduced to SI? <g> Donate some computers and/or software to the school systems and have them use Metacrawler? ;) Charitable work goes a long way - PA's partner learned this and has gleaned much respect and support because of it. Heck, why not just hook up with Microsoft? <g> We've got the 'in' already!

Any thoughts on this? Sound reasonable or do I Know Nada? :)
