I think the opening up of lines by T and others will happen in due time. On the other hand don't you think the same end result can be achieved by AOL with the making of deals with each of the baby bells as they already have with AIT and others?

Also, hasn't it been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that DSL runs faster than a cable connection? If this is the case it would seem a deal with T or ATHM is not needed, at least on any other terms other then AOL's terms. AOL has the customers.

It really looks to me as though AOL is doing an "end around" run by-passing both ATHM and T while getting the same end result achieved. AOL can now connect 55% of all American households via high speed Internet connections. Didn't the Media one T deal just give T access to 80% of the US? Seems one or two more baby bell deals will make up the difference for AOL with or without open access from T and others.

IMO
