Unconfirmed signals are those where a reversal may be imminent. They may be triggered by divergences between price action and volume indicators such as OBV, Money Flow, Volume Accumulation, etc., or by 21-day stochastic crossovers, etc. Signals may be confirmed by a trend-following indicator, called a price-phase indicator which is similar to the MACD. I usually get strongest calls when both the unconfirmed and confirmed sell signals are at the same extreme. On July 6, I had 81% unconfirmed sell signals at the close. The S&P peaked at 1405 that day and closed at 1388. Since the market log on my system looks at the entire database of 3500 stocks instead of just the S&P 500 or the Nasdaq 100, the two may be out of synch. I can create a scan for signals for just the Nasdaq 100 or the S&P 100 since I maintain lists of the two.
