Given The Hyper-Diligence 'Round Here...

I'm sure that everybody has visited the N*ABLE Technologies web site at nabletech.com.

A while back, I clicked on the News link and read the article about Compaq... which got me real excited. But, I DIDN'T click on the link to the May 1998 article from Semiconductor Times. Wish I had. It's very worthwhile. Gives you a stronger sense of THEIR (now OUR) value proposition, their team, and their investors. Also note their strong links to the financial services industry.

Can't link directly to it. Just go to their home page, click on News, then click on the Semiconductor Times article. It's worth the trouble.

Best Regards,

c m

While On The N*ABLE Subject...

When the takeover news was first broken, somebody on RB noted that Chase was one of the N*ABLE vc-ers.

Well, it's interesting to note that among the other investors are two notable groups: Cambridge Samsung Partners and Mitsui Comtek. I guess, one can now view them as step-investors in WAVX... though nothing's final until the ink dries.

Let's look at Mitsui Comtek for a moment. They are part of a company that makes everything from nifty interactive browser/phones to hydrogen annealed silicon prime wafers (at least, I think I got that last part right.) Plus, they were the early investors in or creators of AOL Japan... as well as having funded AMD, Gateway, domestic AOL, and other notable ventures. I gather, that one of the things this investment arm of Mitsui is trying to do is identify ventures that can bring their wares to Japan.

Check out mitsuicomtek.com

It's chock-a-block full of interesting products and opportunities. One might hope that Peter and/or Steven is brushing up on their Japanese.

Best Regards,

c m
