From "THE BULL MARKET REPORT"...

COMPAQ COMPUTER named Michael Capellas as president and
CEO. He joined Compaq
in August 1998 as chief information officer (CIO) and
has been chief operating
officer (COO) since June 2. Capellas previously worked
at software companies
Oracle Corp. (ORCL) and SAP AG's SAP America (SAP), and
before that for 15 years
at Schlumberger (SLB).

COMMENT: Some say they didn't go far enough. Some say
they couldn't find
anybody. We say hogwash. They probably are five steps
ahead of us and hired
him in 1998 to eventually run the company. He's in now
and has already made
statements about changing some major things about the
company. Give him a
chance. See following article from Morgan Stanley Dean
Witter.
