What a terrible bit of reporting...

"Take Qualcomm Inc., the biggest gainer in the Standard & Poor's 500 this year -- up 494 percent, compared with 10.4 percent for the S&P 500. The maker of telephone equipment trades at 65 times expected 1999 earnings. Microsoft Corp., the most highly valued stock in the world, trades at 58 times expected earnings."

So now that the Q has been in the S&P 500 for all of 3 trading days, we're the biggest gainer for the YEAR? This begs the question... was this reporter sitting on pins and needles waiting for the Q to get added to the S&P so that they could mention the Q and bolster their story, or are they just oblivious to the reality that it was just added?
