Blankmind - In response to the shorting issue you raised, the Friday before earnings when I sold my long position the chatroom I was in actually started shorting msft at 99 3/4 or so and I only had time to get in my sell which went through at 99 1/2 and msft was heading lower, shook about a point and the traders I have access to covered at about 90, msft closed at 99 7/16 approx. They made about about a point shorting in 5 minutes or so.
My orginal plan for the earnings run was buy about a month before earnings and sell the day they released earnings. I did sell a day too soon as I could have made another point by waiting until monday to sell. The daytraders I log onto every day make more money than should be allowed by law. Just monitor the room for while & wise up.
