Mike: Beautiful. The reminder of David Gardener's "rule" brings back fond memories - when I used the Fool and the Fool only.

For those of us here, the Bloomberg article is a reminder that the SEC is at fault IMO in making no provision for "pro forma" earnings. All the reporting is looking at the rear view mirror and the SEC does nothing to help investors see the real picture.

You have suggested before that as a long ago TV show used as a base idea "just the facts", but shouldn't there be some way that someone at least find a way to use the real ongoing "facts" to guide investment - not just what the accountants use?
