Rarebird, the article inside your post "Why Red China threatens..."
is well written, and if only 1/2 of it was true then the USA and other
countries have big problems ahead to be deal with.

If the USSR had the opportunity to get from point A to B, as this
article outlines China as doing, then the world maps of today would
be different than those of the past and of today.

In my opinion those at the top of the USA government who make the final
decisions of foreign policy (Bill Clinton + ?), only have on support
staff those experts that reflect a path of involvement that will let
the two countries carry on a diplomatic path only. And this is what
China wants, simple to buy time and not have another country stop its
progress for when it can call the shots.

<<Goldman Sachs has a huge financial stake in Red China; they were
the lead manager in at least 2 CITIC U.S. bond issues.>>

sick sick sick (if true, and if so then USA via Clinton+ have done
what can be called selling your soul to the devil so that the present
times can be looked upon as good times. Joke on us double time as
these good times are chit coated with a nice outer layer, and down
the road payment into hell "real time" here on earth will be collected.

Would be nice if GATA could arraign for a meeting between Senator Gramm,
Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, and Alan Greenspan.

Maybe by chance next week these two men could visit the Men's Room at
the same time, and if standing up they could have a quick question and
answer session, or if sitting down, a longer talk.

Doug
