Neocon--I agree with your assessment of Eyes Wide Shut. I also like the fact that at the end of the movie, nothing was clearly resolved. Many questions about the future of the couple and also what the truth of the past really is. In this movie the subjective truth is more essential then any objective facts. A very non-American film concept. Myron

P.S.--Not a film that Ronnie and Nancy would like <gg>(Sorry, I couldn't resist. I am surprised that such a sophisticated, literate person such as you appear would find RR appealing. A certain cognitive dissonance for me)

Good to see you too, Neo, I've been laying low. Actually I've had my 12 year old son with me since the first of June and we've been pretty busy. Chatting on the internet just hasn't been a high priority.

'Eyes Wide Shut' is definitely on my to-see list, but as it's not one that I want my son to see, I'll probably wait until August, when he goes back to his mum. Having said that, after a lot of consideration, I did take him with me to see the Blair Witch Project when it opened here in Atlanta. He was really keen to see it, and after seeing a program about it on A & E, so was I. I was concerned that it was a bit intense for him, but outside of sleeping one night with his light on, he seems to have taken it in stride.

We'll see, next time he and I go camping in the deep woods.
