Zuma: I'm also supremely irritated by Citi and am looking for alternatives. I also was disappointed to find that none of the 'net banks supported OFX downloads into Quicken. I also refuse to give up using Quicken as my financial dashboard.

Here's a link to Intuit's list of banks that DO support OFX downloads: intuit.com

So far it appears that nearly ALL the banks are charging for Quicken downloads, billpay, or both. Chase (for which I once had high hopes) has a nutty price structure -- I can't even figure out how much I'd be paying per month, but it's too much.

So far Crestar (which does business in DC, MD and VA) looks to be the most attractive for me. They charge about $6/mo but give it free if you carry a big enough balance.

I'm also going to call Schwab, but as I recall they wouldn't let you write a check for less than $300, so a Schwab One account just would not work for a main checking account.

I have some vacation time coming, so just for the heck of it I may take a day off and work up a "consumer reports" type listing of what the major banks are charging for Quicken downloads, billpay, ATM fees, and also the minimum balances required to avoid fees. And oh yes, the interest rates they are paying on that minimum balance.

Unless one of you other guys does it first.

it's pretty frustrating that none of the internet banks are hooked up yet...

Crestar Bank (www.crestar.com) does support Internet banking and OFX connectivity for PFMs like Quicken and Money. Their OFX server has been up and running for more than 2 years, it is a very stable platform.

Microbanker Online just published a ranking for internet banks and Crestar tied for the highest score.

Check 'em out!
