RPT-Geac shares slide as JBA takeover concerns mount biz.yahoo.com Shares in Canada's largest software vendor slid on Tuesday amid mounting uncertainty over the outcome of Geac Computer Corp.'s (Toronto:GAC.TO - news) friendly takeover bid for Britain's JBA Holdings Plc History indicates that there is little chance Geac can successfully convince unhappy shareholders to accept the present bid, said a Bay Street watcher who asked not to be named. It's more likely that Geac will boost its offer. --- When the deal was first announced one ANALysts said the offer was too high. It looks like Geac will have to up the offer and have to borrow the extra 100 Mil or issue shares and cash. JMHO Mike
