When US West becomes Qwest, do those of you who believe that growth will be cut at 10% believe that Qwest will stand for that. Joe left AT&T because they didn't listen to his view of the future - US West will listen as they're part of Qwests.

First, I believe they'll set records at opening up the local side of the business, so Qwest can provide full services ASAP. Then they'll do whatever's required to assure they can deliver the next generation Internet service, Cable TV, etc as well as higher quality and reliability local service at reduced prices.

It could take a little time to achieve that, but when they do, I expect the growth in the US West side of the house to meet or exceed the 40% growth expected of the rest of Qwest. If AT&T can provide local service and Internet using Media One cable, don't you think Joe will beat them at their own game with the broadband capability he's developed.
