Update for 3:57 a.m. EDT
T+plus 11 minutes. Second stage engine has shut down following its first planned firing. The stage and four Globalstar satellites aboard now in a preliminary parking orbit and will coast for the next 50 minutes. The stage's engine will be restarted southwest of Australia as the vehicle reaches the apogee of the orbit.

Altitude: 105 nautical miles and downrange distance: 1,655 nautical miles, velocity: 18,000 mph.

Update for 3:56 a.m. EDT
T+plus 10 minutes. The second stage continues its first burn. The first cutoff of the stage's engine is coming up in about one minute.

Update for 3:54 a.m. EDT
T+plus 8 minutes. Data is being reported from the Air Force's New Hampshire tracking station. Second stage continues to fire.
