LIG: the only part of your post I will comment on is don't twist my point that successful national radio hosts tend to display confident ways of communicating into implying I was making any other type of comparison which would be ridiculous considering I spend 6 hours every weekend listening to Bob and zero time if I can help it listening to the other two in your response.

LIG: Re: I must disagree with this comment. As Herb stated in is first post on this topic, In fact, if Brinker used this strategy for the last 200 years he would have been correct 100% of the time."

Glad to hear life is so good for you guys that you have a life expectancy of 200 years. I don't believe you guys have any respect or knowledge of how dry the stock market can be for an extended period and those years can suck the life out of you.

Re: "Hypothetically, the market could tank 50%, and in 2 years recover and reach new highs. In this case, Bob could still claim he was correct and that staying fully invested was the right move (it would however be in conflict with his oft-stated intention never to ride out a bear market)."

Good grief, this one of the silliest things I have ever read. Hey, LIG, define "bear market" as Brinker defines it. Let's see how good a listener you really are and see if you can muster some PHD type of analysis to make your theory work.

<<Herb's assertion that Bob hedges his predictions are right on the mark. Personally, I think it's an intelligent approach to keeping Market Timer subscribers.>>

I think all this hedging is a figment of your imagination. Since I became a subscriber, a few years ago, I have found that it is necessary to read very carefully, because Bob chooses his words carefully, and means exactly what he says. Same thing with listening to him on the radio. It is easy to read into his comments statements which he is not making, as I believe you and Herb are doing. I have found that that the practice of taking him absolutely literally has completely solved the problem of not being clear on what he meant.
