Jim Parkinson: I agree. With a lack of anything else to compare it too, irid fills a void, and at this point, it looks like they (irid) can do little else.

Production may be a problem, but as some have stated, demand must be there. High production is useless if no one wants them. On the other hand, high demand and low supply is preferrable.

Concerns about demand: Could it be that everyone who has a need for this type of phone is just waiting for the better product? As a consumer, why would I buy a $2,000 phone at $2.00/min. with limited capability? Would I wait and buy one for less (?), with more capability, etc...? Are consumers this prudent, or are we the only ones that know?
