I've posted before [and I'm pretty sure that Jake has supplied information] about the actions of the FDA in deeming Reticulose a new drug in 1962 after it was successfully used starting in the 1930s. We even posted about Reticulose being looked into by the US Air Force for treating affects of radiation poisoning. I think that Jake, I and others have linked articles that told of the FDA actions in 1962 where they confiscated the remaining supply of Reticulose and where some doctors were clamoring for Reticulose to treat their patients. I've pointed out that the FDA may have just washed their hands of their responsibility in helping to make available to the public a non-toxic anti-viral drug for the treatment of numerous viral maladies. IMO, they did this by using their interpretation of the law, i.e., using tunnel vision, whereby very extensive and expensive testing had to be performed to prove the efficacy of a drug that was already known to be safe by the experts of the times. However, in taking this attitude when it came to Reticulose, an inexpensive, effective antiviral drug which was in full use in 1962, IMHO, just reeks of big-drug company money influence and political influence. Further, in dismissing the findings and experiences of may successful, practicing doctors at the time [see Proceedings of 1960 symposium on Reticulose] by labeling their findings as being anecdotal in nature [a cop out], further reeks of incompetence to out right criminal on the part of the federal bureaucrats. I maintain and will always maintain the there was enough solid information in 1962 concerning the efficacy and non-toxic characteristics of Reticulose to grandfather it in — not to confiscate the available supply and to continue to suppress the drug for now almost 40 more years. Just ask yourself how the hell can this drug [a product that could even be considered a food supplement] still be around? Why the hell can't the FDA really kill this drug? Could it be that the bureaucrats may want to have it available for their own use someday, or is it really a gift from God that is keeping it around and nothing can destroy it.? Has what happened to SNRS a surprise to The Kingfisher? ABSOLUTELY NOT. When it comes to realizing the extent of the evil power of the dollar or political interests [lobbying] it certainly appears that only the intervention of the Almighty can ever get Reticulose in the hands of the afflicted. Well what the hell. Laziness and corruption destroyed former civilizations and since history tends to repeat itself, I suppose we will just screw ourselves in the long run under the guides of the greedy and powerful trying to protect us from ourselves.
