OTOTOT Yes. But then as the Motley Fool points out index funds beat most mutual funds. And this approach might well do better than that. Of course there are many variants as you can see in the Fool's list - some work better than others. Actually my suggestion is that it might be better to find which areas, technologies or industries are likely to grow fastest over the next 3 to 5 years and then pick leaders in them. And 20 may well be too many. The right concentration beats scattershot every time. Good luck.Chaz
