It's increasing 2.5% per year.On a cold day we consume 80 billion cubic feet. In the summer a hot day will do 45 billion. Unlike oil, gas is continental. It is to complicated and costly to import gas. By 2015 we will consume 33 TCF per year. At $20 oil prices gas to liquids becomes economic. Big ending quote " Field reserve life is declining. Better extraction technologies, while improving field production, reduces the life of the field. That tell us we are burning more than we are finding" Analysts expect nat. gas prices to rise this year. U.S. prices should stay high because Canadian exports are limited by the Gov't.... Nat. gas is fuel of the future. Because of last years power shortages 125 new gas turbine power plants were ordered. Output will triple from such plants by 2001 versus 1995.<<<<<
