When I short I have no accurate downside target, that depends on a lot of things, including overall market and company news. But my short picks often have over 20% downside potential, margin included.
Sometime ago I also play rebound when shorting, but now no more.
The shorts I choose are more inclined to fall than rise, thus make me safer. I can give you some longs, if you want, but again I don't short them.
My time frame is usually 1-3 days.
So I can tell you my general rules but not at every time, because the market is changing.
Recently I only trade options, so if I give you some calls, that doesn't mean I really take the actions. It may be just calls.
