When our electronics industry can also not operate at a profit?

Isn't that because of something referred to as "dumping"??

Or is it because other nation's currencies are devaluing relative to the dollar, and wages are overseas are not rising comparably.

Or is it similar to Micron, who chose to set up their operations in Boise, Idaho where wages and the cost of living is far less expensive than in Silicon Valley??

There are many companies who specifically choose to locate in rural parts of the US because they can't make a decent profit in the high cost urban regions of the United States.

We've all seen examples of it. And we are seeing examples of low profit margin, commoditized industries are being pushed out of the US into lower labour cost countries in Latin America.

The challenge is re-educating those displaced workers to re-establish themselves in higher tech occupations.

Same reasons that farmers in the 1800's were forced to seek work in the cities.

Ron
