amazing ,natural gas is up again today .the entire oil patch will benefit if this holds up since much more production in louisiana is gas rather than oil.a middle range quality gas producer stone energy is up from its low 0f 20$ a share to the 45$ range as a result of improvement in prices that no one predicted .petroquest of course is much more speculative than stone but presumably the increase in price of gas must be having a significant effect upon their cash flow .i didnt know that you couldnt re adjust upwards with change in asset values ,strange accounting rules. as i mentioned before petroquest is called the quiet company ,its price is not even quoted in the local lafayette daily advertiser even though its based here .hopefully the increased cash flow from the increased price of gas will allow them the fund their exploratory wells that they have planned ,wonder when they start seeing some cash flow from high island .andy
