Re: "You don't think that AMD is shipping K7's?"

Let's put things in perspective. AMD announced they were shipping K7s. That was the same press conference where they were announcing the worst financial disaster in the company's history, following the Q1 results which were also among the worst in the company's history. The Dresden Fab manager had just "resigned" and the companies President was just now announcing his "resignation", to the astonishment of all involved. The only shipping product (K6x) was getting slaughtered in the market place with ASPs going into the toilet and unsold product piling up in the warehouse by the millions. The lawsuits against the company for falsifying the company's health are stacked up as far as the eye can see. The Chairman of the Board, Jerry, has a long history of flat out lying.

The stealth "announcement" of K7s has somehow failed to make it's way into the market place. I don't think it is unreasonable to suspect that Jerry's "announcement" might have been just a little bit ... ahhhh ... shall we say premature?
