HHHMMMM, That info really hits home for us overseas military,,, I am stationed in Japan and we have "PIONEX" and "AST" computers for sale in the PX system and have always had a token amount of Compaq computers, most folks order on-line from DELL, HP, Gateway, whoever, PERIOD! It's a known fact among the military overseas shopper that you do not buy COMPUTERS direct from the PX unless you want to face a severe hassle, should a problem arise, once you have moved to another station, plus the fact that they change contracts with vendors like we change underwear. Right now the PC areas in the PX's are ABSOLUTELY FLOODED with Compaq desk stations and laptops for dirt cheap! My wife and I went to Korea this past weekend and all the Military bases PC shops were the same! I talked with the Reps, (who are off duty Military personnel contracted to sell the stuff) and they all said the same thing,,, "THIS STUFF IS TRASH, THAT'S WHY IT'S HERE, SAVE YOUR $$$ AND ORDER ONLINE!" Not my words,,, theirs. BUT I LOVED HEARING IT,,, GO DELL!!!
