As I recall, it was about two weeks after. Are we oversold in here, or what? Interest rate fears are a good excuse to take some profits. CPI numbers may look a little ugly, but, Y2K concerns will keep a lid on upping interest rates too far too fast, and if there is still an Asian/Latin American financial crisis (>70% likely), this will keep the Fed handcuffed as well. Fear is the prevailing emotion. As a contrarian indicator, I use it as a buy signal.
