every kind of information, images, sounds etc. will get 1) digitized (almost completed) 2) Compressed (in progress) 3) solid-state. (on going.) step three is sandisk. long, oh boy! B. -------------i am reposting the above------ well, one more upcoming use for high capacity (256MB and up) Flash cards: as storage for video cameras with half to 1 MB per second you get good compressed digital video quality, as soon as there will be high capacity CF at a reasonable price that will be another megamarket, by the way i see the still camera and the movie camera merging not far away...
