This discussion is about a federal tax cut. I pointed out that 5% of the people pay more than half the tax. If there is indeed a surplus, why not let them keep some of the money they rightfully earned? Denying them this opportunity serves no purpose.

Only $ 50 billion of the federal budget pertains to the education department. I don't know what portion of that actually is used for other than administration. There's also a lot of corruption and waste, as was seen recently with the technical school scandals (Comp Learning Center). The localities spend over $ 450 billion on education. The real crime is the $ 50 billion used to run the White House and Congress to support 650 politicians.
