PS Sadly that is just the sort of thing AG is capable of doing.

Then he can continue to be a hero by lowering interest rates when the Y2K "crises" has passed.

Also nicely timed to "stimulate" his own reappointment as Fed Chairman as well as "stimulate" the economy prior to the election in the fall.

That scenario might have appeal to AG, no?
