Gwonks, a great site for detailed information on GSM world is below. It has listed by country what must be just about every GSM supplier in the world. For most suppliers, it has detailed coverage maps and links to the supplier's home page: gsmworld.com Ideally, many of these service providers will become G retailers as well. The coverage maps in many cases are very detailed and recently updated. By looking at them, it's easy to see why W. Europeans don't need G* at home, as well as the huge benefit G* will bring to much of E. Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, etc.
