Khai, Street .com has a reputation of being a short-seller's tool. They tank many many stocks that they cover. . . and what is amazing is that the principals are traders that appear to trade the same stocks they write up in their newsletter. Never could figure out how that is legal. . . perhaps an SEC agent could explain it to me. . . Anyway, according to the Liquid Audio representatives. . . .there are nearly a DOZEN manufacturers working on building Walkman type devices that will play Liquid Audio encoded music. And with record companies embracing ONLY encoded copyright compliant music. . . you won't EVER see a Garth Brooks album come out on MP3. . . .legally anyway. MPPP is merely a website that plays MP3 music from UNKNOWN artists. Liquid Audio has known artists and when their players are released, it is my belief that the record companies will embrace them with open arms. . . giving LQID the lions share of distibutable catalogs of music. Another thing is that Liquid Audio has a TWO-YEAR lead on Lucent, A.T. and T., Microsoft and others that are ferociously trying to play catch-up in the "music delivery via the internet" industry. . . couldn't we just call it "E-music"? Now . . . with that in mind, LQID makes a tremendous takeover target for those same companies. . . .especially A.T. and T., which has been incredibly aggressive in its pursuit to be the broadband leader. And word has it that the top executives have left T's A2b music. . . telling me they have all but given up trying. Yes, I will be buying more LQID at the lows. . . averaging down as seen fit. . . .if there is one thing I have learned about the market. . . .is never believe what short-seller traders print about a stock. . . .do your OWN DD . I have about 40+ pages of info on LQID here and have talked with those that are 'in the know' about where the music industry is headed. Liquid Audio will not be the only winner. . . but it will be one of them. . . . by contrast, Real Audio is already losing market share to the others. . . MP3, in my opinion, will keep its college following. . . where unknowing and knowing kids pirate the latest popular releases by uploading to college websites, so that the rest of the student body need only download the music. . .cheating the band or artist, songwriters, publishers, managers and record company out of any revenues. DIMD, the primary maker of the MP3 player has just spent a huge amount of dough developing a SDMI compliant player. . . a version of MP3, where those downloading popular artists will be forced to pay for the download. This RioPort is expected to displace the Rio. . . leaving it stranded with no record company support. . . So yes, in my opinion, taking advantage of these new lows on LQID could be profitable. How many days until the traditional upgrades begin on this recent IPO? About a week? Rande Is
